After 34 years, Dayspring Center remains one of few emergency shelter programs in central Indiana that can meet the needs of homeless families with children. Our goals are twofold:
1) Meet the emergency needs of homeless families with daily meals, clothing, and safe place where the family may remain TOGETHER.
2) Empower them with the life skills and tools they need to become a healthy, productive and independent family.
All homeless individuals deserve the care and support of the broader community, but addressing the needs of homeless families is essential for preventing future generations of homeless. Every year, Dayspring Center assists at least 160 families, including over 500 children. On average, 70% of families served move on to lead a healthy, productive life.
